Yossi Rotshild
Born in Israel 1970. Grew up with dogs from an early age and in 1986 entered the world of pure-bred dogs with a Labrador and Corgi,
and also handled a German Shepherd Dog. Became acquainted with the Akita in the early 90's when he traveled the world following military
service as explosive dog handler for the Israeli Air Force. In 1994-1997 went to the Far East including a lengthy stay in Japan.
There he learned about the Japanese breeds from the last of the remaining elders from the group that facilitated turning the dog breeds into
a national heritage symbol. The Royal Nippon Akitos kennel name was registered in 1998. It is based on Akitas that were imported to Israel from Japan.
Since then it has bred several generations of dogs many of whom have been exported to various countries and succeeded there.
Dogs from the kennel are now in the USA and many western and eastern European countries. A large number of them have become champions,
including international, European Winner, Mediterranean Winner, Amsterdam Winner and Helsinki Winner act… Lectures in Israel and other countries
about the Akita and other Japanese breed, both to judges and breeders. For the past three years is the president of the Israeli Spitz Dog Club and
for the past six years the manager of the Israeli Kennel Club stud book. Qualified to judge his first breed in 2003 and is considered an expert
on Japanese Akita, invited to judge specialty shows in France, Holland, Germany and of course Israel. In 2016 qualified as a judge for group 5.
